Christmas Newses...newses?

We didn't do anything particularly cool or exciting for Christmas so I'm not going to go on and on about it. Basically we went to Alaska for Christmas which was really fun but low key, and then we were in LA for New Years which was, again, really fun but low key.

Now, for the actual stuff you would be interested in learning...

We got some nice things for Christmas that we wanted. I got a really nice, actually warm, winter coat, some cute boots, Chris got a TON of books (they won't last long though I'm guessing!), and we also got a clear play player and netflix subscription!

However. We also got some money and so we figured we would actually use it on a gift for ourselves (instead of something practical that I always use GIFT money for). So...ta da!!

We bought a NICE TV!!! It was such an awesome deal at Costco that we decided for once to splurge. We have been wanting one for a while and we figured since we got the money we might as well get it while it was cheaper than usual. Its a 37" 1080p Proscan. Yes, Proscan is an "off brand" but the specs looked comparable to a Vizio, and it has seemed to be great so far! We have a PS3 so we already had a blue ray player that we weren't really taking advantage of, so now our movies look incredible! Needless to say, we are pretty excited.

Chris also took FULL advantage of not being a BYU student and grew a beard for about a month and a half.

He is shaving tonight so I wanted to document it first. Knowing Chris though, he will probably want to do it again in a couple weeks. Chris also wanted me to add this disclaimer: "Let it be known that I [Chris] think it is a disgusting picture."

Two other cool things. First, Chris has officially turned in ALL of his grad school applications! We should be starting to hear back in March so stay tuned for all that! Second, over the break my work called me and asked if I wouldn't mind transferring from sales to accounting! So I am now in charge of Accounts Receivable for Qualtrics. So I am still calling people, but now I am REALLY asking them for their money :) I also make invoices. I am able to work more hours which is cool and since my background has been more accounting than sales anyway it was an easy transition.

Chris and I made goals for FHE last week and one of mine was to blog every Sunday. If there was nothing interested to note then I will share something delicious I made (since another goal was to cook more). So, until next week!

WALALALALALALAAAA

I'm so excited you're going to be blogging more, dear Cousin. And yes, that is probably the lamest thing I've said in a year.

*bows head in shame*

But still. It's true.
